Tadashi Wakashima (1952- ) is Professor Emeritus of English (Kyoto University), the current president of the Nabokov Society of Japan, and chair of the Kyoto Reading Circle. He is a chess problem composer and International Master in solving chess problems. He has written books on Nabokov (Lolita, Lolita, Lolita) and other modern and contemporary writers.
