Dear Beth,
I understand that you have a difficult job so I am willing that you not post my tirades against your charge of incivility against me.
I just want to point out that my use of the word "frog" was in the context of Jansy's Sapo/toad and her questioning me about not capitalizing the words French and English, so it was a sort of pun combining the two ideas. That is probably why you did not at first perceive it as a "slur" at all - it wasn't.
I'm perfectly happy to drop the subject.
