Here's an interesting problem: White to play and give checkmate in 3 moves!
Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov (Saint Petersburg, Russia, 22 April 1899
Montreux, Switzerland, 2 July 1977) was one of the most prominent writers in
the 20th century. Nabokov wrote his first nine novels in Russian, and then
became internationally famous as a master of English prose. His most known
work is Lolita (1955). He was very interested in chess problems, and even
published a book with puzzles: Poems and Problems (1970).

Machado de Assis, gênio de literatura brasileira.
(Famous writer Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis is probably the greatest name
in history of Brazilian Literature, author of the classic books Posthumous
Memoirs of Brás Cubas [also known in English as Epitaph for a Small Winner],
The Alienist [also known in English as The Psychiatrist], Sir Dour,
Philosopher or Dog?, and Counselor Aires's Memoirs, among others. His works
were translated into many languages, and have admirers all over the world.
Chess was one of his favorite amusements: besides playing, he also used to
compose problems, such as the puzzle above.)
