The book I think is most under/overrated
Overrated: Vladimir Nabokov’s [Lolita].
Underrated: [The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a
Justified Sinner] by James Hogg.

The book I’m most ashamed not to have read
James Joyce’s [Finnegans Wake]. I did mostly like [Ulysses].

The book I most often give as a gift
[The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie] by Muriel Spark.

1. I wonder why he thinks
Nabokov’s [Lolita] is the most Overrated book
(that he knows of).
(or that he wants to mention)

Since Rankin is a crime novelist... Could it be
that he thinks it's low-rate as a whodunit ?

Ian James Rankin, OBE, DL, FRSE, FRSL (born 28 April 1960) is a
Scottish crime writer, best known for his Inspector Rebus novels.

( Did VN collect similar titles, after his name ? )

2. He even has connections with TV stations and TV shows.

So why have NONE of his books become TV shows or movies?

and
WHY have so few James Patterson books become films? HH
