IN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL WRITINGS
AN INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT
THE UNIVERSITY OF GRONINGEN, THE NETHERLANDS
13 - 15 NOVEMBER 1996
Offers of papers (20 - 25 minutes' delivery time) are invited
for this international conference on autobiographical writing.
Papers should be delivered in English, but may focus on auto-
biographical texts in any language. Abstracts of up to 400
words should be send to Prof. Helen Wilcox at the Department
of English, University of Groningen, P.O. Box 716, 9700 AS
Groningen, The Netherlands, as soon as possible, and at the
latest by 29 February 1996.
This is the fourth in a series of annual international
conferences on literary themes, hosted by the Department of
English at the University of Groningen in association with the
Rudolf Agricola Institute for Research in the Humanities.
Previous conferences in this series: 'Sacred and Profane'
(1993, on early modern literature), 'Correspondences' (1994,
on letters and literary theory) and 'The Painted Word'
(November 1995, on ekphrasis).
