I do not think it is fair to state that N. held F. in low esteem when we
have records of him actually praising much of Fitzgerald's prose (whether
it was genuine or to please his then friend Wilson is mere speculation at
this point, I do not think we should seriously engage in that). I am also
yet to read ONE review (and I have read close to five by now) of this new
biography of Fitzgerald that has ANYTHING good to say about the book. I
reserve my judgment of it till I read it myself, but some caution is
obviously in order.
