Some months ago NABOKV-L ran an account of a 1925 Russian short story
signed "S. Sirin" that had been attributed to Nabokov in Abyzov's
bibliography of Russian-language publications in the Baltic republics
during the inter-war period. The story was entitled "TOKALOSH". The text
has now been examined by a number of experts and the uniform opinion is
that "TOKALOSH" is NOT by Nabokov. Concurring are Brian Boyd, Alexander
Dolinin, Gennady Barabtarlo, Galya Diment, and D. Barton Johnson.
