As many of you know, NABOKV-L is to be the electronic affiliate of a new
journal called NABOKOV STUDIES. At present, the journal is an annual. The
inaugural issue was completed in October, but has fallen prey to several
mishaps of which the latest is the Los Angeles earthquake. The publisher,
Charles Schlacks, has just completed his move from Salt Lake City to his
new office at the University of Southern California when the earthquake
occurred. His building suffered damages. His currently projected date for
sending out the first issue is April 1st. (Cf. THE GIFT.) Authors of
articles in this number should be receiving pre-prints before this date.
Subscription requests ($21.75 for individuals; $30.75 for
