I have it on good authority that at 1900 hours, Berlin time, on Monday,
16 December, at the "LITERATURHAUS BERLIN e.V.", the European Cable
Channel "ARTE" and "SFB (Sender Freies Berlin)" will present by
invitation their coproduction of:
"Lolita ist beruhmt, nicht ich" ("Lolita is famous, not I") Vladimir Nabokov
According to the invitation, discussion will follow by a panel
consisting if Dmitri Nabokov; Andreas Christoph Schmidt, Author of
the film; Dieter Zimmer, Translator and Chief of Rowohlt's Nabokov
Publications; and Dr. Hans Von Brescius, Director of SFB Culture TV
Documentaries.
Dmitri Nabokov and Brian Boyd, who have watched advance copies, agree
that this fifty-eight (58) minute film is perhaps the best Documentary
on VN of the many made so far.
The first Cable Broadcast, in German and French according to region,
will take place on the evening of 1 January, 1997.
