Hello,
I joined this list today after spending most of the afternoon trying to
hunt down the source of a VN quote that I dimly remember reading some years
ago. As I remember, the line is from his advice to students in the Cornell
European Literature course and ends "....and for God's sake, take notes!".
I was hoping to use this same advice for my own students in a mathematics
course I will be teaching this semester. If anyone could help me with the
text and/or attribution of this quote I would be very grateful.
