For me, the most interesting contemporary author of unreliable narrators
is the English novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, moving from cleverly unreliable
in his first novel, _A Pale View of Hills_, to bewilderingly so in his
most recent, _The Unconsoled_.

On another subject, I ought to mention that the Australian novelist
Georgia Savage uses _Lolita_ in two consecutive novels, mentioning
Humbert in _The Estuary_ (1987), and Dolly Haze in _The House Tibet_ (1992).
