In response to the recent posting concerning "Transparent Things"/
"centenarians fruit" :
I went through the original file card manuscript of "Transparent Things"
in teh VN Archive of the Berg Collection (New York Public Library) towards
the end of last year and compiled a list of corrections and deletions that
occurred between the first draft and the British paperback edition. Alas,
(unless- by some oversight on my part) it appears that "centenarians
fruit" was VN's intended description from the start and not "centurians".
Must go now as I have some urgent "Trainspotting" to do.
