EDITOR'S NOTE. Nabokovians working in the area of stylistics may wish to
submit papers for the journal issues described below.

CALL FOR PAPERS
for the journal _Language and Literature_ - Volumes 21 and 22
_Language and Literature_ will publish two yearly volumes on the theme of
Language, Style and Literary Response: The Role of Stylistics in Literary
and Cultural Studies
Papers should look at the relevance that stylistics and stylistic
analysis have in the practice of literary criticism, literary/cultural
studies, and the teaching of literature.
Manuscripts should follow MLA format and should not exceed 20 pages.
Manuscripts should also be submitted on disk, MSDOS Wordperfect 5.1 or
6.0 preferred. The first deadline for submissions is March 31, 1996.
Papers will be reviewed by the end of May, 1996. Minor changes in
accepted papers may be made through June 30 if submitted on disk.
The second deadline for submissions is June 30, 1996. Papers will be
reviewed by the end of July, 1996.
The editor for Volume 21 of LnL is Ned Laff of Weber State University.
