EDITOR'S NOTE. In re the following: Both the orginal McGraw Hill hardback
and the Fawcett paperback have "centenarian fruit," NOT "centurion."

Thanks to Galya Diment, I learned why oranges are centenarian's, but I could
understand the sentence better if it were "the centurian fruit" instead of
"the centenarian's fruit." As William Vesterman suggested, "the centurian
fruit" would be suitable for the context.
Is there any _TT_ edition with "the centurian fruit?"
Does anyone know that it was "the centurian fruit" that VN originally had in
mind?
