I used to think that the subscribers of this list don't have much to learn
from
a one page article about VN in Britannica. But this may be news for many:
On p.474c of Vol.8 of 1995 edition "Pnin" appears to be an
"episodic novel about an emigre professor of ENTOMOLOGY" (capitalization is
mine).
Is this to counterbalance a total lack of VN's own entomological
achievements in the article?
