Hello,
Can anyone on the list spare some thoughts about Vivian
Darkbloom's "Notes to Ada"?
I am particularly concerned with their apparent guilelessness
(pretty straightforward translations, allusion-identifications, etc.).
Are they primarily a gibe at monoglots, a concession to readers, or
another mask to perform disengenuous trickery behind? Is it possible
that VVN developed an uncharacteristically helpful nature late in his
career?
