It might interest list readers to know that White wrote a letter to VN
describing in great detail the spider that became the protagonist of
CHARLOTTE'S WEB. White hoped that VN's lepidopteral knowledge extended
into the arachnids (it didn't). The letter will be on display during the
New York Public LIbrary's exhibition running from April 23 through August
this year.
