NABOKV-L thanks musician and Nabokovian Ryan Amussen for his helpful
reply.

Dear Ana:
>I am just wondering if there are any of you out there who are familiar with
>Amis and critical theory....and if you know of any credible websites or
>good articles/books on Amis...
In answer to your question, there is an excellent site run by James
Diedrick of Albion College devoted to all things Amisian, including a
section entitled "Nabokov, Larkin, and Others" that traces similarly-minded
ideas, etc. Certainly worth investigation. The URL is:
http://www.albion.edu/fac/engl/diedrick/amispge.htm
Along with, of course, Nabokov, and also Updike, Richard Wilbur (whose
"Duchess" VN at one point applauded vigorously), and Julian Barnes, Amis is
a highly cherished favorite of mine.
Yours,
Ryan
