EDITOR's NOTE. For those new to the topic, there actually is an opera
based on LOLITA. It was, as I vaguely recall, premiered in Sweden some
years ago.

It *is* a stretch. Nabokv-l should consider starting a competition: best music and libretto for one or more arias.
"Enchanted Hunters" -- perhaps a chorus
"She was Lo, plain Lo" -- tenor
"Brought down by McFate" -- alto (humbled, tumbled -- two senses)
It's a wide-open field.
