EDITOR's NOTE. Judging from Mr. Davies e-mail address, I doubt if he has
access to InterLibrary Loan. The information he needs is probably most
easily found in the GARLAND COMPANION TO VLADIMIR NABOKOV, ed. V.
Alexandrov in the essays "Nabokov and Shakespeare: The English Works" by
Herbert Grabes, pp. 496-512 and "Nabokov and Shakespeare: The Russian
Works" by Sam Schuman, p. 512-517.

From: Nigel Davies <ndavies@emirates.net.ae>
I'm intrigued by Nabokov's references to Shakespeare, such as in "Bend Sinister"
and have been advised by Jeff Edmunds of comments by Nabokov on Shakespeare
outside of his novels, specifically pages 46, 60, 63, 72, 89, 126-127, 146, 151,
218, 291 of "Strong Opinions" and pages 14, 59-60, 72, 82-84, 142n, 146n,
185-186, 229, 243, 330 of "The Nabokov-Wilson Letters". I am unable to obtain
copies of these books though as they are out of print.
Is there a kind soul out there who could give me the gist of Nabokov's comments
in these references (if not a transcription) to assist me please?
Thanks for your time and attention.
