As a non-Russian speaker or reader, I am in no way qualified to comment on
the translation question. As lawyer and a judge for thirty years I can say,
however, now that it has been mentioned, that "Reply to my Critics" is the
finest (and one of the funniest) polemic(s) I have ever read. I have long
thought it ought to be required reading in our law schools. Who knows how
much good it will do.
