There is no special meaning of the name NABOKOV as it is but you
can read something there in Russian. He himself said that his name had a
Tatar source. But I can read in his name the following: Na - means here
your are/take it or preposition - on Bok - means a side(a part of the
body) Nabok- means to put smth/smb. on a side Oko - means an eye Bokov -
means sides(plural of a side) Okov - means genetive plural of chains
