The virus that was on my original files is called a "marker virus". It
has been a problem with most of the Macintosh computers on the Stanford
campus, though it has been resolved over the past few weeks. The virus
itself is fairly harmless as far as I know (on the stanford computers,
it
just pulls up an html document containg a really bad love poem on your
desktop each time you open a word file). If you have Norton Anti-Virus
or
another security program it can be screened and repaired easily.
Again, many apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.
Repaired files have been posted on my website and I would be happy to
send
any interested parties the document as an attachment in Word format.
