SYMPOSIUM EDITION OF NABOKOV RUSSIAN WORKS!!!

EDITOR'S NOTE. The St. Petersburg publisher "SIMPOSIUM" has now
completed its five volume set of Nabokov's Russian writings. (An earlier
five-volume set of the works translated from English into Russian is
also available. Details below.) It is by far the most complete Russian
language edition. Each volume is supplied with an introductory essay by
Prof. Alexander Dolinin, the foremost Russian Nabokov authority, and
contains VERY extensive sets of annotations contributed by Russia's
leading VN scholars. This will remain the standard VN Russian edition
for many decades. I recommend it as the standard edition for scholarly
citation in publications. Further, anyone who writes about VN's Russian
works without having consulted these annotations risks overlooking
important information.

SYMPOSIUM has set up a system for directly supplying these volumes --
either singly or in sets -- to overseas buyers. The prices (even with
the new increase in book mailing rates) are very modest. Judging by
reports from NABOKV-L subscribers, the ordering system described below
works smoothly. The Tables of Contents for each volume are given below,
following the Order Information. (In addition to the "Collected VN"
volumes," the order form describes two additional VN-related items --
the new Russian translation of Carl Proffer's classic KEYS TO LOLITA,
and a handsome volume of photos of the Nabokov estate.
