RE holiday gift items, it's interesting that this book is not available [yet?] at UK Amazon.com (amazonuk.com), American amazon.com OR barnesandnoble.com (bn.com). Perhaps Nabokov-on-line could ask if anyone knows how to obtain it. The only listing at amazonuk.com seems to be l used (or review?) copy, offered by a third party bookseller. I do know that these posting at those websites do take time (based on when their inventories are received) but since its Dec. 14, its rather unfortunate.

EDITOR's NOTE. This is an extremely handsome small volume -- beautifully written and with many photographs that are often ingeniously juxtaposed. An American edition will be out in early 2002.
It would make a fine holiday gift.
