-------------------
could someone explain to me what circumstances a sui-mate might occur in
a
chess match? how can the king mate himself? which is to ask, is
luzhin,
in the white square of his bathroom in the final scene of the defense
already in check, or in moving into/ through the black square of the
window only then mated? is sui-mate simply conceding? i'm sorry to ask
such a basic question but need to know and, at the moment, have roughly
the scholarly resources of kinbote at my disposal.
