So easy to get it wrong, as did I once on this very list. I
misremembered
the passage slightly, which caused grave offence. But on the other hand,
it
seemed to indicate how near to being offensive the passage is for some.
Mea maxima culpa.
Nothing like a touch of shame to assure textual fastidiousness.
