What vowels, and colour codes, are we talking of, those of Russian and
the cyrillic script, those of French or those of English? Since each
linguistic system pronounces otherwise visually similar (in
transcription) phonemes differently, there can hardly be a fixed colour
coding for, say ostensibly 'universal' vowels, in a trilingual quasi
native speaker whose ear must hear an English 'a', a Russian 'a' and
French 'a' as acoustically distinct, in their respective acoustic
nuances?
