[EDNOTE. A response to D. Barton Johnson's query about whether
Russian-French-American oenologist Andre Tshelistcheff was the brother
of Pavel Tchelishchev, Sergei Nabokov's Paris flatmate. -- SES]
Dear Don and List:
Looking in Google, under group 2 in the sites I found a reference to
Andre Victor Tchelishchev. In group 4/5 I found in the Wikipedia free
Encyclopedia that "Tchelistcheff's father was Chief Justice of the
Russian Imperial Court." Finally in group 4/5 I found that Andre's
son, Dmitri, is the winemaker for Jarvis and is currently working
with Dr. Mortimer and Dr. Johnson from the Department of Yeast
Genetics at U.C. Berkeley. Perhaps Dmitri could be contacted. Just
a couple of ideas.
