Dear colleagues, Nabokovians and Nabokophiles,
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new electronic edition in
Nabokov studies, "NOJ / NOZh: Nabokov Online Journal." We would like
to welcome your scholarly contributions!
Our vision is to make the "NOJ / NOZh" a vibrant and pluralistic
multilingual platform of high quality content, challenging and
technology-friendly at the same time.
Contributions to the journal may be in English, Russian, French or
German. All papers will be accompanied by an abstract in English and
Russian. "Nabokov Online Journal" has an ISSN number, and all
published materials will be indexed in the MLA Bibliography.
In a wide variety of academic disciplines, electronic journals
represent the leading edge of innovation in the presentation and
delivery of scholarship. While costs for traditional print serials
have risen sharply, the e-journals have great potential and can
reach enormous audiences. They are capable of supplementing
traditional text with images and multimedia, opening up new vistas of
inquiry and analysis with easy-to-use search and retrieval functions.
The NOJ is a peer-reviewed journal and it will be published two times
per year.
The first issue is scheduled to appear online in the spring of 2007.
Details will follow in a formal call for papers.
