Nabokov in Eastern Promises

Dear Joshua Roberts and List,
You are absolutely right, there are quite a few references to Nabokov
in the latest David Cronenberg movie, and they are not accidental.
The initial versions of Stephen Knight's script sported so many of
them that one subscriber to the present forum who happened to be
involved in the project felt compelled to point out the danger of
overdoing it.
With every good wish,
Stanislav Shvabrin.
