Nabokov's interview. (12) The Sunday Times [1969] brings "a disappointed lepidopterist's ditty"
It's a long climb
Up the rock face
At the wrong time
To the right place.

There is a blog called "North of Onhava" by a writer named James Greer, with a photograph of Lake Geneva with a few ducks (not swans), carrying exactly the same lines of Nabokov's ditty. I tried to find a direct reference to him or an indication for such a "zemblance," but got nowhere. Actually, the theme seems to be "nowhere", a mirror image of an utopia perhaps...
