I spotted a gross mistake in the (anonymous Internet) traslation of Pasternak's "August":
Прощай, лазурь Преображенская
И золото второго Спаса.
Farewell to the azure of Transfiguration
And the gold of the Second coming.
Второй, яблочный ("apple"), Cпас means the second summer feast dedicated to Savior, not "Second coming". Первый, медовый ("honey"), Спас (also called "Авдотьи малиновки") is celebrated on August 1. Третий, зимний ("winter"), Спас is celebrated on August 16 (all dates by the Old Style).
Les Amours du Docteur Mertvago, the Antiterran counterpart of Pasternak's "Doctor Zhivago", is a mystical romance by a pastor (1.8). Lara Antipov, a character in Pasternak's novel, and her daughter by Zhivago Tanya, somehow got mixed with Pushkin's Tat'yana Larin and became the heroine of Eugene and Lara, "an American play based by some pretentious hack on a famous Russian romance" (1.2).
