EDITOR'S NOTE. Dieter E. Zimmer <100126.2576@compuserve.com>, Nabokov
scholar, translator, and editor of the splendid annotated German edition
of Nabokov's collected works, interviewed VN in 1966. NABOKV-L thanks him
for the following information on the filmed Pivot-VN interview.
------------------------------------------------------

"Apostrophes: Bernard Pivot rencontre Vladimir Nabokov"
[Apostrophes: Bernard Pivot meets Vladimir Nabokov]. Antenne 2 (Paris),
date of broadcast May 30, 1975 (c. 60 minutes). Video tape cartridge (VHS
Secam): Paris: Vision Seuil [= video department of the publishing house
Editions du Seuil], no year (around 1990). The copyright note says:
"Programme de l'Institut National d l'Audiovisuel (c) 1975. The interview
is in French.
It is Nabokov's only interview that was broadcast live (!),
though he had of course prepared his answers beforehand. The typescript is
in the Berg Collection m.b., 64 pages, dated Paris, May 30, 1975. The tape
was on sale a few years ago. I don't know whether it still is. The video
quality is excellent.
