There is no such a thing as a weak novel of VN; they each
represent a unique facet of his mind and, when viewed correctly, provide
an accurate picture of the master. However, the one novel which stands
out in my mind as one of plodding slowness with reference to plot is Look
at the Harlequins! I suppose this is all a matter of taste. It's like
asking which of Shakespeare's plays or Miles Davis's compositions are the
weakest, who knows?
