Well netted! And thank goodness Dieter Zimmer's marvelous Guide to Nabokov's Butterflies and Moths is now online, so the new catch can be spread, pinned, labeled, and stored!

Subject: [NABOKV-L] Fifalda de Fyler

Uncovered an interesting trifle today. We all know that Fleur de Fyler is, by name, a flower, but I did not realize that her sister, Fifalda, is a butterfly. Fifalde/a is an Old English word for butterfly, descended from the same Germanic root as falter. News to me!
