[Don Johnson's computer was
refusing to send this message to the list, and he asked me to
forward it for him. I'm more than happy to do so! Quick
reminder--the symposium honoring Don (a.k.a. D. Barton Johnson,
this List's founder in 1993, among many many other
accomplishments) is at UCSB this Friday, but it also includes a
theatrical performance on Thursday evening, "Devising Nabokov," by
the UCSB Mind Readers. See

The Times Literary Supplement (TLS) of January 29 2016 offers a
review (page 20) of a new novel by Australian author Gail Jones.
Her novel is entitled "A Guide to Berlin" and plays on VN's
earliest novel "Putevoditel' po Berlinu" (A Guide to Berlin.)
Looks like it might be entertaining although it might be hard to
find in the States.
