Byatt, Maurice Girodias, Dmitri and Véra Nabokov and Edmund White.
The room I'm being interviewed in is the "archive room," at the
end of the corridor on the sixth floor of the Cygne wing of the
Montreux Palace Hotel, a former laundry room which I turned into
the archive room in 1979 and which stayed in that form until 1990,
when Véra had to move out for renovations. Enjoy!
