Could the rabbits in Ada be intended to refer to the earlier novel through this device (as the SO statement hints)? Could the earlier name, and also the later, be meant as a response to Bunny Wilson's refusal to read VN's short story (?) in which he had a passing appearance, after being notified of his presence there by the author? (I'd name and quote, but am away from my books right now). Of course, Dolly's real last name only rhymes with Haze . . .
