In April 2007
the Nabokov Museum celebrates Valdimir
Nabokov's birthday with the traditional Nabokov Readings
which is actually an annual festival including
various events.
The year 2007 is special for many
reasons. It's thirty years since the death of Vladimir Nabokov in 1977.
Also,
it's the year of several anniversaries. The year 1937 saw the
publication of
"The Gift", VN's Russian masterpiece. In 1947 "Bend
Sinister" was published, in 1957 it was "Pnin", in
1967 - "Speak, Memory".
Besides, it's the 10th
anniversary of the founding of the

Nabokov Readings, a two-day conference.

opening of the temporary art exhibition by
Nadjezjda van Ittersum, a Dutch artist and sculptress closely related
to the
Nabokov Family.

showing of the new video materials in the
Museum Collection.
