Dear List
I am working on my thesis on Nabokov, and somehow, somewhere in the
process I have lost track of a quote, which, in the shape I remember it
in, is quite central for my angle:
About half a year ago I read a statement by Nabokov concerning the
writer’s/artist's status as a stranger—the gist of it was that a writer
was always a stranger, even inside his own home (or something to that
effect).
I have tried to find this in Strong Opinions, but couldn’t. Perhaps it is
in an interview available on the internet.
Any suggestions?
Best Wishes,
