Dear Don,

              The title of my contribution to the most recent issue (54) of The Nabokovian was badly botched. The word "Artists," after being removed from the title and low-cased, was mistakenly inserted in the text (p. 5, 1st par., ln. 6 from the bottom). The title, thus, should read "Artists Exiled, Art Treasures Sold."  I asked Stephen J. Parker to print a correction but it will appear in the Fall issue, in December. In the meantime, I wish to set the record straight.
