All of us are sooner or later plagued by a half-remembered VN quote. One of the unsung heros of Nabokov studies is a gentleman named John DeMoss, who lives or lived in Spain. Many years ago, he compiled an excellent index to _Strong Opinions_ which contains many of VN's pithiest policy formulations. The DeMoss Index circulated for many years among Nabokov scholars in xerox copies. With the coming of ZEMBLA, Mr. graciously consented to allow the Index to be housed there. See:
