FROM THE EDITOR:
Members of the International Nabokov Society receive a subscription
to THE NABOKOVIAN, a twice yearly publication that contains news of the
field and short essays. Established nearly 25 years ago by its editor, Stephen
Parker, it has become an invaluable resource for scholars and readers of
NABOKOV.
The Saint Petersburg Nabokov Museum, quartered in the old Nabokov
home, serves as a research center for Russian and other Nabokov scholars.
Like other private Russian institutions, the Museum library has very limited
funding and has been unable to acquire back issues of THE NABOKOVIAN, although
it does have a very few random issues.
I shall be attending the Museum's international conference in July
and would like to donate as many back issues of THE NABOKOVIAN to their library
as possible. I shall be leaving on July 12 and will take as many copies with
me as possible. IF YOU HAVE "EXTRA" COPIES OF ANY ISSUE OF THE NABOKVIAN,
please send them to me at: Germanic & Slavic Languages Dept., Phelps
Hall, University of California, Santa Barbara, CA., 93106.
If you have no old copies and wish to help, any funds received will
be used to purchase back issues for presentation to the Museum.
