Noam Chomsky, in 1977 in a review (of To Jerusalem and Back) reprinted in
Chomsky's Towards a New Cold War, lopped off Bellow's head with scarcely
more than a flick of the wrist. I never gave credence to reports of Bellow
sightings since that time.
