Speaking of Annensky (1855-1909), perhaps I should have mentioned that in his public life he was the head-master of a gymnasium in Tsarskoe Selo. Not wishing to flaunt his talent, Annensky published poetry under the penname Nik. T-o ("Mr. N. O'bodie").
 
And since I mentioned (in my anagrammatic section) Pierre Louys, let me add that he is the author of highly obscene Manuel de civilité pour les petites filles à l'usage des maisons d'éducation ("Handbook of behaviour for little girls to be used in educational establishments").
