Not sure if this is relevant, but the word
rokot (roar, rumble), another anagram of kot or ("what is the
time" in Zemblan), occurs in the opening line of Nabokov's short poem
Smert' ("Death", 1924):
Utikhnet zhizni rokot zhadnyi
I stanet muzykoyu tish'...
(Life's avid roar will die away
and silence will become music)
