shtuchka + ink = tushkanchik (shtuchka - little thing; ink - Russ., Inca, a member of any of the dominant groups of South American Indian peoples who established an empire in Peru prior to Spanich conquest; tushkanchik - jerboa)

shtuchka + inok/koni/Koni/kino = tuchka + shinok (inok - monk; koni - horses; Koni - A. F. Koni, 1844-1927, the famous lawyer and author, memoirist; kino - cinematography; tuchka - little cloud; shinok - tavern)

shtuchka is a diminutive of shtuka (thing; trick; etc.) shtuka = shutka (joke)

sobaka = Sobak/skoba + a (sobaka - dog; Sobak - Fima Sobak, in "The 12 Chairs" the best friend of Ellochka the Cannibal; skoba - cramp-iron)

Sobak rhymes with Tobak (Ivan G. Tobak, Cordula's first husband). Sobak + T = Tobak + S = St Koba (Koba - Stalin's nickname, after a character in Kazbeghi's novel The Patricide; in Ada, 1.2, there is Colonel St Alin, a scoundrel)

Btw., Ilf and Petrov are the authors of Odnoetazhnaya Amerika (One Storey America, 1937).
