Subject: Nabokov cover letter
The June 27/July 4 1994 New Yorker carries a photographed copy of a Nabokov
cover letter on page 178, complete with butterfly illustration, in which he
discusses the short stories "Lips to Lips" and "Breaking the News."
Nabokov's letter and others were picked from the files of William Maxwell,
short story editor for The New Yorker, for this special fiction issue.
